A Large Part of our Purpose and Mission is; 

• "To assist in providing food for anyone stating a food emergency in the Towns of Wilna and Champion, parts of Jefferson and Lewis counties by providing food for free at a food pantry, and by accepting donations of goods, donations of money to purchase food and equipment, and by applying for grants;" 
  

• "To solicit donations and to accept money or personal property in aid of such purpose and to use and/or maintain the same;" 

• "To engage in other activities charitable in nature and to assist in other emergency needs;"

To accomplish our mission WE NEED YOUR HELP.  Donations are always accepted in any amount, or in goods and services. It all adds up and makes a huge difference. WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

 In addition to individual donations, The VEM survives thanks to the continued support of local businesses and organizations. They are encouraged to hold their own fundraisers (on their own) in support of the VEM. It not only raises money for the VEM, but brings awareness to the need and mission…as well as demonstrating the truly selfless community that the Carthage Area is all about.
